Membership

Membership is by invitation.
The criteria and procedures for membership are as follows:

• The club must be at least 100 years old.

• The club must be a bona fide private members club.

• The club must have as its members prominent leaders of the business, social, educational and/or artistic communities which it represents.

• The club must elect its members in the traditional manner, i.e. sponsorship by existing members and election by the club’s members or its governing body.

• The club must be known for its superior standards of facilities, food, wine and service.

• The club must not offer corporate memberships.

• The club must be visited by at least two existing members of the DCW.

• The Manager of Secretary must be recognised by his peers locally, nationally and internationally as a leader in the private club industry.

• The Manager or Secretary must have at least five years’ experience as a Club Manager or Secretary or as an executive in the hospitality industry.

• Candidates for membership must be sponsored by two existing DCW members.
